Perfectionism is holding in a fart on a zoom meeting with a muted mic. It is going the extra mile in making sure things are ideal in ways people don’t even care about. No one cares that your book has a typo on the 235th page. And yet, all around us are people refusing to put out their books, worried that there could be one more typo to erase, one more sentence to polish, and one cover area to airbrush.

The bitter yet liberating reality is that no one cares. And that’s okay. Put out your art and do your work, not because others care. Put it out because you do.
